Got some cute rings and bracelets from the recent Alex and Ani sale lmao. So cheap! I really like the adjustable rings a lot. It solves the problem I have of not being able to shop for rings online because I need to make sure they fit well. Amazing! Also a cute Prosciutto charm because The Grateful Dead episodes (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure) that aired recently were ridiculously fantastic, holy shit this adaptation is everything I wanted from Vento Aureo. ♥♥♥


Speaking of love, I did a lot of the valentines from this year's Fate/Grand Order event and they were all great (especially Dantes') but fuck Quetzalcoatl was my favorite. I just love her so much. Like she was ridiculously charming in the Babylonia chapter so I just impulsively rolled for her and fuck I'm so happy I got her. Everything she does just makes me happy.

It's been like three days and I'm still fucking DYING that Stardust Crusaders is using The Bangles' Walk Like An Egyptian as an ending theme. Fantastic.

I read Doomsday Book and To Say Nothing Of The Dog (both by Connie Willis) last week. DB broke my heart in a bunch of pieces and TSNotD made me laugh so much so it pretty much evened out. Both were excellent. ♥♥♥

I reread Steel Ball Run also because stopongreen's been reading it and we've been screaming about it at each other on LINE for a while and god I forgot how emotional the story is. And I ended up actually like full on weeping at my desk through the last part, even though it was a reread.


But these two make me so happy, tears or not. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

God I've been way too distracted for the last couple of days with the new MGSV stuff and other E3 related things that I totally missed that there was a new JJBA All Star Battle trailer:

WITH ROHAN OMG. AND KAMIYA HIROSHI VOICING HIM. OMG. He sounds a bit younger than I expected BUT IT'S GOOD. I LIKE IT. AND OH GOD BUCCELLATI. ♥♥♥ ;;;;;;;; AND A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE THAT I ALSO LIKE BUT FEEL WAY LESS STRONGLY ABOUT EEEE. I hope there are a few more character reveals though. I can understand Jojolion only have one character (even though I'd like more) because of where the story is right now (not very far), BUT I WANT AT LEAST A FEW MORE PEOPLE FOR STONE OCEAN AND STEEL BALL RUN. Plus those two parts have a few really important ladies (especially compared to the other parts) that I'd love to see included. ;;

Also LisaLisa and a Phantom Blood Dio. (WHICH MEANS THERE MIGHT BE THREE DIOS RUNNING AROUND BUT IT'S ALL GOOD.)

GOD THE EXTENDED TRAILER. I love how uncomfortable it made me feel, which is pretty appropriate to where the story is heading towards so it's great. And while I like Keifer Sutherland just fine and think he'll probably be decent in the role, I MISS DAVID HAYTER'S VOICE SO MUCH. LIKE A LOT. LIKE I KEEP EXPECTING IT IN THE TRAILER AND AM WEIRDED OUT WHEN I DON'T HEAR IT. ;;

OH GOD ROHAN WAS FINALLY REVEALED IN ALL STAR BATTLE. AND HE'S GOING TO BE VOICED BY HIROSHI KAMIYA OH GOD OH GOD. I HOPE ALL HIS OUTFITS MADE IT IN THE GAME TOO OH GOD. THE NEXT TRAILER COMES OUT IN JUNE I THINK OH GOD THE WAITING.

I love the JOJO.FM tumblr so much. They've been posting the musical references from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (there are a lot) and it's so fun to listen through them and enjoy bits of what goes on in Araki's head when naming these characters. ♥♥♥♥

Aaaaah my copy of Rohan at the Louvre finally arrived. Which Araki drew for this Lourve exhibit eeeee so neat:

Louvre Museum in France has been holding an exhibition "Cartoons - The Louvre invites comic-strip art" and displaying original drawings of comic artists based on the artistic works and the exhibition rooms of the museum. Araki Hirohiko ("JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" ) was chosen as a representative of Japanese manga artists along the other famous comic artists such as Nicolas de Crécy, Marc-Antoine Mathieu, Éric Liberge and Bernard Yslaire. The exhibition will be held until April 13th.

Anyways it's a short one-shot story (128 pages in beautiful color!) and had an official english release so I got it:

Swamped with papers right now. I haven't watched anything in like two weeks except for JJBA. I HAVE SO MUCH TO CATCH UP ON IN A FEW WEEKS.

Speaking of JJBA, Phantom Blood ends next week! I'm going to miss my weekly Slightly Homoerotic Victorian Horror Battle Story a lot. It's actually my second favorite part:

7. Battle Tendency

No Jojolion because that's incomplete. And Stone Ocean goes up and down a little at times BECAUSE I HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS ABOUT IT. And lmao my least favorite part starts in two weeks. BUT I LOVE IT. I LOVE ALL OF THEM, JUST SOME MORE THAN OTHERS.

BUT I REALLY LOVE PHANTOM BLOOD. I love the setting and the gothic horror and the vampires and zombies and how dramatic everyone is and Jonathan being a gentleman and Dio doing everything for money and just everything. I love how it's so much rougher, story and art-wise, than Araki's later work. I love how it's such a personal and intimate story, compared to the later parts: the whole thing centers on Jonathan's and Dio's relationship with each other and the hate and love that's involved in that. Also the ending makes me cry. ♥♥
