Aaaaah my copy of Rohan at the Louvre finally arrived. Which Araki drew for this Lourve exhibit eeeee so neat:
Anyways it's a short one-shot story (128 pages in beautiful color!) and had an official english release so I got it:

Ugh such a pretty cover.

And pretty back cover.

Color splash page of sorts. I really love Araki's use of colors.

The story itself has a lovely watercolor/marker look that I really dig.

Seventeen year old Rohan! AWWW.

Rohan's grandmother, which he mentioned in the Gucci story AWWWW. I love it. Lmao I have such a soft spot for grandparents/grandchildren relationships, probably because I only get to see mine once a year and they're such wonderfully sweet people (my grandfather passed a few years ago so it's only my grandmother left now though) AND SO I KIND OF IDEALIZE HAVING GRANDPARENTS AROUND ON A REGULAR BASIS. ;;

AWWWWW ROHAN YOU DICK LISTEN TO YOUR GRANDMOTHER.

Lmao. I liked that the sound effects were translated but I wish the font was a little different from the dialogue text.

LMAO ARAKI ARE YOU DRAWING FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE FOR THIS.

Lol.

LMAO WHAT IS THIS. I appreciated the little Morioh group cameo BUT THE MONA LISA LMAO WHAT THE FUCK.AND THEN ALL I CAN THINK OF IS KIRA'S REACTION TO SEEING THE MONA LISA'S HANDS GEHGUEHGUEGH.

Yesssss I love how Araki can make something like looking at postcards SO FABULOUS.

♥♥♥♥♥

THAT'S RIGHT YOU TELL THOSE PUNKS HOW TO DRESS.

I just really love the coloring.

So cranky lmao.

Oh my.

Awww. Anyways the story is mostly a mystery/horror deal (with lots of Araki-flavored gore). It's a lot more tragic than I expected and a really lovely little story. I LIKE IT. ♥♥♥
Louvre Museum in France has been holding an exhibition "Cartoons - The Louvre invites comic-strip art" and displaying original drawings of comic artists based on the artistic works and the exhibition rooms of the museum. Araki Hirohiko ("JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" ) was chosen as a representative of Japanese manga artists along the other famous comic artists such as Nicolas de Crécy, Marc-Antoine Mathieu, Éric Liberge and Bernard Yslaire. The exhibition will be held until April 13th.
