I LITERALLY AM SO FUCKING HAPPY ABOUT BLAME FINALLY GETTING AN ADAPTATION I CANT EVEN TAKL ABOUT I PROPERLY. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I loved Knights of Sidonia and I totally dig the 3DCGI look for both.

Still on episode 6 of Umineko! I keep taking long breaks but I'm going to try to finish this one soon.

Part of the reason I was not finishing that was because I finally played Danganronpa 1 and 2, since it came out of Steam recently. I LOVED BOTH OF THEM. cut for spoilers for both games )

I started playing Chrono Trigger for the first time! Well not exactly the first time since I started playing, on the recommendation of a friend in highschool (or middle school, idk it's been a long time) and I got like five minutes in and was like this looks interesting and then never played again.

But this time I'm doing well and it's so pretty and I love the story and it's really cute and funny eeeee.

I finished listening to Underwood and Flinch last week and I loved it to pieces. It's a fantastic little vampire story, with fantastic characters, and voices, and the ending fucking killed me. spoilers for the ending )

I finally read Worm, on [livejournal.com profile] rabiya_al_basri's recommendation, and IT WAS SO FUCKING GOOD HOLY SHIT. Like just a fantastic story from start to finish. I loved everything about it: the characters were all interesting in their own ways, the story was AMAZING (especially the final part of the story), the action scenes were literally the best that I've read in any novel, and the ending made me really happy. Good stuff.

Since I enjoyed that so much, I started reading Pact, by the same author, and I have to admit my spooky/magic loving ass is REALLY enjoying it so far.

I finished listening to season one of The Black Tapes Podcast, on [personal profile] peachpai's recommendation, today and I really enjoyed that too. Gonna start Tanis next.

I played The Beginner's Guide over the weekend and while it was definitely more of a narrated presentation, rather than a game, it was really sweet and wonderfully thought provoking. :( cut for spoilers )

Lmao the Gravity Falls teaser for the October 26th episode is killng me:

Bill what the fuck. But I do want to see where he's from since he described it as a "decaying dimension." Should be interesting lol.

Undertale is such a strange and delightful little game lmao. I'm trying to do a full pacifist route. We'll see if I lose patience with that decision before the end.

I was listening to Poe's Haunted album for like the millionth time and finally decided to read House of Leaves (Mark Z. Danielewski). Got through the introduction today:

Old shelters-- television, magazines, movies-- won't protect you anymore. You might try scribbling in a journal, on a napkin, maybe even in the margins of this book. That's when you'll discover you no longer trust the very walls you always took for granted. Even the hallways you've walked a hundred times will feel longer, much longer, and the shadows, any shadow at all, will suddenly seem much deeper, much, much, deeper.

Very spooky start lmao. I like.

I caught up with both Paranatural (middle-schoolers getting involved with ghosty magic adventures) and Monsterkind (human social worker starts living among monster-people) today. Both are super cute aww.

He seemed not to hear. "You turned... you looked at me... and I think you tried to smile. There were colors all around you, but your eyes were dead, like all the rest. And your mouth was full of poison.

I finished Revival by Stephen King, this morning, and I loved it a lot. I always love stories that deal with religion (and believing/unbelieving in God) and the clergy (because there's a lot of them in my family) and this one was just great. It's a nice long meandering tale towards a pretty horrible climax/ending and the focus on family was lovely too. I was also extra into it because I had been rewatching Gravity Falls recently and things like dimensional travel/exploration creep me out a lot so all the weirdness revealed really kind of scared me lmao. But in a great way. ♥
velshtein: (FORD what the fuck)
Oh my god my period was being like weird and almost non-existant last week (when it's usually just a super quick three days tops) and then now this week it's been super heavy what the fuck why am I still on my period I'm so mad.

Life is Strange is a beautiful fucking story and I can't wait for the last episode. spoilers )

Tales from the Borderlands episode 4 was fantastic lmao. spoilers )

Final Fantasy: Type 0 WAS SO FUN. I'm really not into FF games, though I do try a lot of them out, but this was just great. The combat is so fucking fun and I love having such a huge party to play with (with all sorts of different fighting styles). The story is decent and I love Ace to pieces. Throwing cards at people has never been so fun.
