I got sucked back into Detective Conan (and its like 800+ episodes) so now I'm behind on Kyoukai no Kanata/Beyond the Boundary and Coppelion. I dropped Samurai Flemenco after...the gorilla...thing because that's just. Too much. And what I've read of the episodes after, it continues to be too much for my tastes lmao. But I'll keep up with the episode descriptions and see if things change for the second half of the show. God. I was really enjoying it up to then too.

God, but Detective Conan. Way back, years and years ago, I watched a shit load of it but for some reason I skipped all the plot episodes (which are pretty few and far between). BUT NOW I WENT BACK AND WATCHED/READ ALL THE PLOT STORYLINES AND I LOVE IT. SO MUCH. And I really want more.

DC SPOILERS AHEAD:

Oh god I was watching the Mystery Train episodes (because I watched everything out of order) and was pleasantly surprised to hear Shuichi Ikeda's beautiful voice. And then was shocked to also hear Torhu Furuya's lovely voice because the two of them are always Char and Amuro to me AND THEN I REALIZED IT WAS ON PURPOSE:

MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM
Char Aznable (known as the Red Comet/Akai Suisei) is voiced by Shuichi Ikeda.
Amuro Ray is voiced by Torhu Furuya.
Char and Amuro are enemies.
Sayla Mass' (Char's sister) real name is Artesia.

DETECTIVE CONAN
Akai Shuichi is voiced by Shuichi Ikeda.
Torhu Amuro is voiced by Torhu Furuya.
Akai and Amuro are enemies.
Sera Masumi's (Akai's sister) motorcycle is a Yamaha Artesia XT400.

LIKE. THAT'S NOT EVEN SUBTLE HAHAHHAAHH. THE AUTHOR IS JUST MIXING NAMES. I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING. Anyways, it's great. Especially since Akai and Amuro are switched in terms of villain/hero, compared to Char and Amuro. I REALLY love hearing Torhu Furuya play a villain (he was great as Ribbons in Gundam 00). I find his voice so cute and it's adorable to hear him try to sound evil/menacing.

Shuichi Ikeda sounds as beautiful as ever. His voice is always so warm and inviting no matter who he plays. ♥♥♥♥

I'm taking a bit of a break from Samurai Flemenco because it's gone hilariously insane in the last couple of episodes and I don't know if I'm totally on board with that.

Reign is probably my favorite show on television at the moment. I can't believe I'm enjoying it this much. Mary is wonderful, Francis annoys me to an amusing extent, and I adore Bash. ♥ Diane and Catherine are both amazing, Henry is kind of hilarious in a sleazy way, and I love love love Nostradamus. Clarissa terrifies me.

I'm not really sure if I'm into any of the ships but I think I could probably get behind Mary/Bash. Maybe. Although I think the only thing that I'm actively shipping is Nostradamus/Bash just for the sole reason that they talked a few times and the idea sounded hot.

Disclaimer: I'm pretty sure that I'm so enamored by Reign that I can't objectively tell if it's actually terrible or not. Like the show or writing in general. So this isn't a rec, I think lmao.

Caught up with Coppelion and Beyond the Boundary! I love Coppelion A LOT, the story and characters are great. And lmao I keep hearing Kiritsugu whenever the vice-principal speaks so that's pretty amusing. Rikiya Koyama's voice is so beautiful.

Beyond the Boundary is very pretty and while it doesn't grab me as much as Coppelion, it's pretty solidly good. I like it.

Samurai Flamenco episode 7: Holy shit that ending. Well that was unexpected to say the least lmao.

I don't, probably surprisingly enough, read very much BL manga. While I'm generally always up for cute fictional men rolling around with each other, I'm a lot pickier with actual romance stories. Most of the time I prefer romance in fiction to play second to something else: adventure, action, sci-fi nonsense.

This morning though I (really randomly to be honest) read twenty-three chapters of Yuuutsu na Asa/Blue Morning and now it's honestly my favorite BL series ever. I mean there wasn't much competition but holy shit I loved it:

Upon his father's death, Akihito Kuze became a viscount at the age of 10. His smart, handsome young butler Tomoyuki Katsuragi has since managed all affairs pertaining to the viscountcy perfectly.

The talented and charismatic Katsuragi is very popular in their social circle; but as Akihito grows older, he becomes colder and more distant by the day - though still as faithful to the Kuze household as he has ever been.

Akihito is now a young man, and desperately in love with Katsuragi. He determines to discover the reason behind his butler's inexplicable behaviour, and this is where their story begins...

It's sweet and sad and I cried way too much through it and lmao it hit some of my favorite kinks ever: older uke (the butler! ♥♥♥), younger seme, age difference, butler/master dynamic and Katsuragi (black hair! the butler!) is so stupidly pretty I just want to ogle him all day. Plus the social/class issues are interesting. ♥ Warning for some noncon scenes though.

One another note, the pre-release images for the first episode of Samurai Flamenco are very cute. The MC is super adorable looking and lmao is actually looks-wise reminding me a bit of Andy from The Unlimited gheugheuh. ♥♥♥ Same studio too! 8D
