The neighbors down the street were burning wood in a huge metal barrel (for trash removal? a human sacrifice?) and the flames were so high it looked like their house was on fire from a bit away. Like I actually sped up (jogging) when I saw it because I was all "OH GOD IS THAT A FIRE? ARE THERE PEOPLE STILL INSIDE??"
My neighborhood is covered in honeysuckle so my evening walk/jog was very sweet and smoky scented.
I passed by a house where a little kid (...I think) was sitting on their front stairs completely wrapped up in a white bedsheet. Like they were just chilling. And then they happily waved at me while I was trying to decide whether or not I was hallucinating a very short ghost and I waved back and it was just...fine. I don't know what else to say about that.
