dazzle my eyes
I was looking at some of the Blu-ray vs broadcast differences (one, two, three, mouse-over the images) in Fate/Zero (love a lot of the lighting changes) and remembered DELETED SCENES OMG. There's a lot of little ones here and there. Anyways I was lazy today and just looked at the additions to Kirei and Gilgamesh's conversations:

Episode 6 had them talking a bit more about that Root thing that Tokiomi is after, while Gilgamesh admired himself in his glass lol:
Lmao "this universe that is my playground."

Episode 12 had a bit more about what exactly Gilgamesh finds entertaining:
I honestly could listen toGilgamesh enjoying hearing himself talk their stupid conversations all day. And it's also kind of hilarious that these long in-depth conversations are going on, with everything else...going on. Which I do love though, since they are integral to Kirei's storyline. And a nice break from STAB STAB MONSTER MONSTER MAGIC MAGIC. Even though I LOVE all of that too.
And lmao more about how Gilgamesh feels about Tokiomi:
VASSAL. Also him hating the command seals lmao. Not that I blame him.
There was also more of the report that Kirei brought to Gilgamesh about the other Masters, and in particular Kariya:

This is some information that I wish hadn't gotten cut because I couldn't remember exactly if Kirei knew about Kariya's motives, at this point. Or the connection between Aoi and him, ohohohoho.

Episode 6 had them talking a bit more about that Root thing that Tokiomi is after, while Gilgamesh admired himself in his glass lol:
Kirei: In a sense, the path to the Root...is the path to an escape from this world. For us who are interested only in the world itself, it may well be a tedious plan.
Gilgamesh: Is that so... True, I am full of love for this universe that is my playground. I have no interest in realms that lie outside my dominion. This Root of yours does not concern me in the least.
Kirei: Perhaps, but the Grail is not a device specifically designed to seek the Root. When we say that it is omnipotent, we mean that it has limitless potential to alter even the material world.
Gilgamesh: So you're saying that the other Masters have motives other than Tokiomi's for wanting the Grail?
Kirei: Tokiomi in an archetypal mage and at the same time ultra right-wing. What the others seek is sucess here in the material world. Prestige. Desires. Power.
Gilgamesh: That suits me fine. I love all of those things.
Kirei: You are a king who rules over the vulgar, Gilgamesh.
Gilgamesh: Then what of you, Kirei? What do you want from the Grail?
Lmao "this universe that is my playground."

Episode 12 had a bit more about what exactly Gilgamesh finds entertaining:
Kirei: In this world that you have constantly mocked for being vile and full of imposters?
Gilgamesh: That remains unchanged. However, I am now curious to see this Holy Grail War through to to its end. I am fond of lives of hubris. Those who harbor grand ambitions without realizing that they are unequal to the task. The mere sight of such people gives me great enjoyment. There are two kinds of arrogance. One where you are unequal to the task and one where your dreams are too big. The former is commonplace stupidity... but the latter is a rare species that is difficult to find.
Kirei: But they are identical in that they are both fools, are they not?
Gilgamesh: Isn't the foolishness of the few a more precious commodity than the wisdom of the masses? There are those who were born human but harbor wishes that man was not meant for and have renounced their humanity in its pursuit. I never grow weary of watching their grief and despair. Kirei, what of you? For once, you seemed strangely pleased.
I honestly could listen to
And lmao more about how Gilgamesh feels about Tokiomi:
Kirei: There is nothing more for me to do.
Gilgamesh: If I may venture an opinion, Tokiomi's hypotheses have been dubious from the start. He never struck me as a man fit to be backed by the Grail.
Kirei: I am surprised that you have such harsh words to offer regarding your own Master.
Gilgamesh: Kirei, you seem to be sorely mistaken as to who serves whom in my and Tokiomi's relationship. I treat him civilly as my vassal and he supplies me with mana as an offering. I answered his summons precisely because those were the terms of our pact.
Kirei: What do you make of the Command Seals, then?
Gilgamesh: I hate them. However... if a vassal wishes to become a better vassal, he must be willing to listen to words of criticism from time to time.
VASSAL. Also him hating the command seals lmao. Not that I blame him.
